Master Luthier and industrial designer Paul Kenneth Janowski has been building guitars since the late 1970's, and has worked with award-winning industrial design firms since 1985. Paul was the guy who famously said "let's design a guitar!" and led the design team in the original Open Architecture™ guitar design effort at RKS Design, and reintroduced these designs to very positive response at the 2019 NAMM show. Paul's short scale bass designs introduce patent pending innovations to the stringpath and instrument resonance that you have to play to believe.
All of the instruments built by Master Craftsman Guitars are neck-thru designs. Building an integrated structure from headstock to bridge gives our instruments a very high level of sustain, and the strategic coring-out of material throughout each instrument and use of high-mass elements to contain the string vibrations within the instrument enhances the resonance and musicality of each instrument, and gives the player inspiring levels of freedom to express their musical ideas.
